New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, who is also the father of legendary cricketer Yuvraj Singh, expressed his satisfaction with Rohit Sharma’s decision to play a day international (ODI) cricket and not retiring from the format.
Speculation and reports suggested that the Champions Trophy final between India and New Zealand in Dubai could be Rohit’s final ODI appearance.
However, Rohit’s outstanding performance scored 76 runs, scoring a swashbuckling, laid the foundation for India’s four -wicket win and his victory in the tournament.

After the match, Rohit addressed the media and confirmed his intention to play the role of Odis, “I am not going to retire from this format.”
Yograj Singh welcomed the decision and expressed confidence that both Rohit and Virat Kohli should consider the retirement to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia only after the 2027 ODI World Cup.
“The best thing is that Rohit Sharma said that he is not retiring. Good, my son. No one can retire Rohit and Virat. They should think about retirement after winning the 2027 ODI World Cup. I said that I said this before winning India.”
