Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Base Xiaomi 15 handsets were launched in India on Tuesday. They are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset, added to up to 16GB of RAM. The phone leads Leica-supported rear camera module and 32-megapixel selfie shooters. They run on Android 15 with Hyperose 2.0 Skin on top out-of-the-box and Sport IP68-Rated build. The Ultra version was initially introduced in China in February, while the Vanilla variant was launched in October 2024 with a Pro option.

Both the base and ultra variant of Xiaomi 15 are powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Sush. The vanilla variant supports LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 onboard storage up to 12GB. Ultra option supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. They ship with Android 15-based hyperose 2.0.
In the camera department, Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a Leica-supported quad rear camera unit consisting of a 50-megapixel primary Lyt-900 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 50-megapixel ultravide shooter. The setup has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto camera and 3X optical zoom with OIS and 200-megapixel isocell HP9 periscope telephoto camera OIS and 4.3x optical zoom.
The base Xiaomi 15 consists of a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS support, 50-megapixel ultravide shooter and a 50-megapixel ultravide shooter with OIS and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and a leak-tune triple rear camera unit up to 3x optical zoom. Both base and ultra version carry each 32-megapixel front camera sensor for selfie and video calls.

The vanilla option is supported with the support of 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging by 5,240mAh cell. For safety, smartphones carry in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensors. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. The handset has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
