Vivek Matthew’s show lyrical shadow
We carry the shadow – they constantly, dearly and reminiscent of opaque things in life, involving themselves. With lyrical shadow, Bangalore -based photographer Vivek Mathew has captured everyday examples, where the collapse of light has been arrested in methods and places that we all have seen and ignored.
Vivek Matthew says that the lyrical shadow celebrates the 20 -year anniversary of his chosen career as a photographer. “This year I mark two decades since I became a professional photographer, so I decided to keep a show together on the shade shot during this time.”
More than 24 images depict the worldly observation of the conscience – the banists and the play of light and shadow on the roadside scaffolding, the night -windopen and condensation on the streets – and attracts the eye of the audience in a beauty and detail that fails to notice many.

Regarding his charm with shadow, Vivek says, “They have been a constant part of my journey to capture images; I believe they add glamor to a picture. Without shadow a picture becomes boring, ”and says they were also painted in their previous shows.
“I always compare the shadow to an opera singer’s Outro (Finale) which is the main attraction of a concert. An image SANS shadow is incomplete. ,
At the same time, Vivek says that he goes through the instinct, connected to his subconscious. “I am not planning my photos,” they say. And when he cannot plan his work, he believes that patience is required while making anything of permanent value, whether he is making a career or producing music. “In today’s world, everyone is chasing quick fame, quick wealth – a serious lack of patience to grow and develop. It is important to make this art that takes time, “he says, citing the choice of Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, whose music has been for decades.
Like most artists, Vivek presents his actions as untitled works, leaving the audience to decide what they make. “I do not want to think my viewers, this is my philosophy for a long time, especially when pictures speak a thousand words. What one sees as a studio can be seen by another as an office; Images speak differently for different people. ,
