To deploy 1,000 EV in Uber partner cities with Chennai-based Refex Green Mobility

Uber participated with Refex Green Mobility to deploy 1,000 electric vehicles (EVS) in major cities of India on Tuesday (March 11, 2025) to fulfill the increasing preference for permanent mobility options in cities. This cooperation is in accordance with the US-based mobility company’s 100% emission-free approach by 2040.

The deployment will see the electric for-wheeler on-board on the Uber platform in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai.

Refex Green Mobility Limited is a full-fledged subsidiary of Chennai-facilitated Refex Industries Ltd. and is operated under the brand Refex Ewez.

Uber already launched Uber Green in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata, which allows passengers to request an all-electric on-demand EV. Uber Green is available in more than 100 cities in 15 countries.
