Greenlanders will be the head of elections to vote in the parliamentary elections of their country on Tuesday, which will probably prove to be a historic vote due to any seismic change within the nation, but will send it due to geopolitical message.
Freedom from Denmark is not on the ballot itself, but those who have been elected to the Parliament of Greenland will indicate how the country can not only proceed to divorce itself from Copenhagen, but what is the dangers issued by President Donald Trump to handle some critics.
Parliamentary elections on the world’s largest island, a nation of less than 60,000 people, has chosen scan coverage due to their relatively low impact on world affairs.

Trump says that America will welcome Greenland during joint address to Congress
But all this changed in January, when beyond its inauguration, Trump refused to dismiss the possibility of “achieving” Greenland through economic or military means and since then repeated his interest in the strategically important island.
While most Greenlanders support freedom from Denmark, they also align against Trump’s ambitions to the island nation.
There is not a single legalist in Greenland who ran for the election in this cycle to be a part of America, but may be solved to attain freedom, appealing to Trump’s interests, even the leading opposition party known as Nalrek, which currently holds five out of five seats in Greenland’s Parliament.
39 -year -old Quipnuk Alassen, running under Nalrek Party, who has achieved a large -scale social media presence with more than one lakh followers spread over Instagram, Tikok and YouTube, shared a video in January, where he resolved questions about his opinion on the matter.
Keeping her position directly on Trump’s ambitions, as she said she wanted to keep her presence “A-political as possible”, emphasizing her support for the expansion of Greenland’s partnership.

“I strongly believe in Greenland’s freedom,” she says, “we must expand our cooperation and establish a business relationship with countries beyond Denmark.
“We deserve Greenlanders, Collit, independent,” he continued in the context of Greenlandic Inute Ethnic Group. “And I hope we will strengthen our connection with our partner Inute in Canada and is quite high in Alaska in the near future.”
Greenland rejects Trump’s ambitions in the address of Panama Congress.
Although Greenland won self-regulations in 1979, Denmark continued to oversee issues related to defense and foreign policy, the NaleraQ party has pushed to a sharp transition to complete freedom.
The major opposition party has argued that it can be achieved by increasing its fishing industry opportunities such as existing trade, as well as establishing defensive agreements with nations like the United States, in which it will allow Washington to operate its military interests from the island instead of the US region without security assurances.
However it is not clear that such a deal will win over Trump, which can see the Artic Nation as an unused opportunity for its rare earth minerals and oil and gas reserves – which Greenland has also stopped the European Union from accessing.

The White House did not answer Fox News Digital questions whether expanding relationships with Greenland will fulfill Trump’s ambitions, although on Sunday Trump reiterated his position on the island nation.
“As I clarified during my joint address for the Congress, the United States strongly supports Greenland’s rights to determine its own future,” he said on his social media platform Truth Social. “We will continue to keep you safe, as we have World War II.”

He said, “We are ready to invest billions of dollars to create new jobs and make you rich – and, if you choose so, we welcome you that you should be a part of the greatest nation, United States anywhere in the world,” he said.
Trump reprimanded the Congress in some quarters after his address, where his voice on Greenland was softened compared to the previous comments, but he concluded saying, “One way or another, we are going to get it.”
According to a January survey, some 85% of Greenlanders oppose Trump’s push to make Greenland a part of the US, including the Prime Minister Mute Edi, who has not only been a major proposer for freedom from Denmark, but also opposing Trump’s interest in Greenland.
EDEE’s Inute Atkatigit Party, which currently holds 11 seats, is expected to take even more majority after Tuesday’s election.

The ED, who repeatedly told the US President that Greenland was “not for sale”, on Monday, Trump’s unexpectedness was sown by international chaos.
Eded told the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), “The things that are happening in the world right now, I am very worried.” “There is a world system that stumbles on many fronts, and perhaps a president in the United States who is very unexpected that makes people feel insecure.”
