Laile and Eric Menandez, a cousin of Laile and Eric Menandez, is banging the district Attorney Nathan Hocheman of Los Angeles County, accusing them of “hostile, dismissal and protection” for the family and asked them to remove them from the case.
Cousin, Tamara Goodale said Hochman’s conduct “destroyed any remaining trust” in the DA office and she wanted the matter to be converted into the Attorney General’s office.
During a meeting with Hochman’s over 20 Menandez family members on January 2, who want to release the brothers, relatives shared emotionally their “ongoing trauma and suffering”, Gudel said in a letter to the US Attorney’s Office Civil Rights Division last week. But he said that Hochman “knew the family orally and emotionally again, embarrassing us allegedly not listening to our public press briefing.”

Hochman’s “hostile, dismissal, and conservation tone created a scare and bullying atmosphere, making us, suffering, more distressed and humiliated,” he said.
Goodll alleged that Hochman focused on how they were treated instead of victims.
He said, “The lack of compassion was clear, and the family not only ignored, but also intimidated and revived,” he said.
Goodll cited her rights as a victim under the law of Marxi – the bill of rights for the victims of California – especially given that a victim is “to be treated with fairness and respect” and “to be free from” intimidation, harassment and abuse “.
A day after the initial meeting with Hochman, Goodll said he and his son metman, other prosecutors in the DA office, met the brothers’ counsel and family counsel – and said he left the meeting that was “disregard and humiliated”.
Goodll said that when he expressed concern about the fairness of the DA’s office, Hochman “became stimulated, dismissal and aggressive.”

Goodll said that his son saw the DA’s “derogatory, betrayal and unprofessional conduct, which is making the emotional toll more complicated on our family.”
Gudel also alleged that Hochman said that the brothers’ Attorney “represented terrible people.” “This unfair remarks strengthened his bias,” said Goodll.
In addition to asking Hochman to remove and the matter turned into the Attorney General’s office, Gudel said that she wants Hochman to be “accountable” for her behavior.
She also wanted Kathleen Caddy – who was appointed by Hochman as director of the DA’s DA Service Bureau – was removed from the case and entrusted to the aggrieved services “a new, fair” representative.
Caddy was formerly a lawyer for Milton Anderson, pushing a Menandage relative brothers to keep them in jail. Anderson died last week.
Goodll said that when he brought his concerns about caddy in the second January meeting, “Hochman dismissed me from the cold,” and “interrupted me, speaking in a kind and hostile manner.”
Hochman said in January that Caddy “is away from the menndege case.”
The DA refused to comment on Goodll’s letter.
Menandez Bhai is serving life in jail without the possibility of parole for 1989 killings of his parents and Kitty Menandez. Lyl and Eric Menandez, who were 21 and 18, were admitted to the murders, but claimed that he worked in self -defense after years of sexual abuse by his father.

Lyl, Left, and Eric Menandage Beverly Hills sit in the Municipal Court, where his lawyers delayed arguing on behalf of suspected brothers in the killings of their parents on 12 March 1990.

Brothers are chasing three possible routes for freedom.
A California village is a request for the gavin Newsome for the apology. The governor announced in February that it was ordering the Parole Board to conduct a 90-day risk evaluation check whether the brothers presented “an inappropriate risk to the public” if they are given and released.
Another route is a captive corpus petition that was filed by brothers filed in 2023 to review two new pieces not submitted in the trial. In February, Hochman asked the court to deny the captive corpus petition, arguing that new evidences were not reliable or acceptable, and saying that their claims of sexual harassment are not rationable for killing their parents in self-defense.
The third is resentment.
In October, the then La County District Attorney George Gaskon announced that he was recommending the punishment of life to the brothers without the possibility of the parole being removed, and instead he should be sentenced for murder, which would be a 50 -year sentence for life. Because both brothers were under 26 years of age at the time of crimes, they will be eligible for parole immediately with a new sentence.
The DA office stated that its displeasure recommendations take into account several factors, including rehabilitation and misuse or trauma in prison that contributed to crime. Guskon praised the work and Eric Menandez put himself behind bars to rehabilitate and help other prisoners.
Hochman, who became a DA in December, is expected to leave his situation on resentment with dissatisfaction. He is organizing a press conference at 10 am on Monday.
