Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin ups the ante on language row: ‘states that accept Hindi lose their mother tongue’


Fueling the ongoing battle between Tamil Nadu government and Centre over its three-language policy, Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday shared a post mentioning Tamil poet Bharathidasan’s poems.

MK Stalin cited Bharathidasan’s lines to oppose “Hindi imposition”. Earlier, Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said “states that accept Hindi lose their mother tongue” and that his state is ready for a ‘language war’.
