LinkedIn has reinstated the account of the teenage software engineer, Kairan Quazi in SpaceX of Elon Musk, initially after removing it due to age restrictions. Microsoft -owned professional networking platforms had first removed its account in 2023 because according to several media reports, it had not yet reached the minimum required age of 16 years.
Quazi, who joined SpaceX at just 14 years of age, is part of the company’s Starlink Project, where he works on data-driven design solutions for adaptation problems in beam planning. Their role requires advanced expertise in low-distance, high-demonstration computing and real-time programming.
Quazi’s response to LinkedIn’s policy
according to atimes of India Report, Quazi revealed in 2023 that LinkedIn had reported him to remove the account due to his age. Expressing his frustration on social media at that time, he criticized the verdict, saying: “This is irrational, primitive nonsense that I constantly face. I can be sufficient to take off one of the most prestigious engineering jobs in the world but … “
Linkedin, following his policy, informed Quazi that he would be eligible to return to stage once at the age of 16. The company also confirmed that its premium membership was canceled and any fee was refunded.
Remarkable journey of a prodigy
Allegedly, before joining SpaceX, the Quals had an intern in Intel Labs for four years. His extraordinary educational journey graduated him from Santa Clara University at the age of 14 with a bachelor of science in computer science, giving him the youngest graduation in the history of the institute.
Earlier, he earned an associate of a science degree in mathematics from Las Positas College at the age of only 11 years. Additionally, he has been a speaker at major technology conferences, says reports.
Now back on LinkedIn, Quazing continues to confirm its place among the youngest and the most talented brains in engineering.
