Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria – The last Hindu cricketer playing for the country has claimed that he faced a lot of discrimination with the country’s cricket team during his time. Kaneria was speaking at a Congress briefing on the ‘plight of minorities in Pakistan’ at Washington DC, focused on the kingdom of Hindu and Christian minorities in the Asian country.
Speaking in briefing with news agency Annie, Kaneria said, “I too have faced a lot of discrimination, and my career has been destroyed. I did not get respect and equal value in Pakistan. Due to this discrimination, I am in America today. We talked to raise awareness and let the USA tell how much damage we have been so that action can be taken, ”
Danish is being asked to change Kaneria:
In earlier conversation with AAJ TAK in 2023, Kaneria also nominated Shahid Afridi as the main criminal who launched him in the Pakistan cricket team and asked him to convert to Islam.
“I was doing well in my career and also playing county cricket. INZAMAM-Hul-HAQ supported me a lot and was the only captain to do so. With him, Shoaib Akhtar. Shahid Afridi and many other Pakistan players troubled me a lot and did not eat with me. Shahid Afridi was the main person who was asking me to convert, and he did many times. Inzam-ul-Haq never spoke in this way, ”Kaneria told the publication.
In particular, Kaneria is only the second Hindu cricketer who has found a place in the Pakistan cricket team after Anil Dalpat. Former cricketers remain Pakistan’s highest wicket-taking spinner, managing 261 wickets in 61 matches, including 15 five-viccles halls and 2 Ten-Vic Hols.
In addition to Tests, Kaneria made a simple ODI career with a simple ODI with 15 wickets in 18 matches at an economy rate of 4.8 with the best figures of 3/31.
