Returning to President Donald Trump’s office has put Ukraine into a strategic bond, which is no longer able to rely on “Irneclad” – if many times hesitated, according to many Ukrainians – the former president who supports American support during time in the office of Biden.
Trump has aligned with Russian narratives about the conflict, designed Ukraine as a major obstacle for peace, blames Kiev for starting a war, as president as President, by reducing the validity of Zelancesi and reopening the years of American assistance through a controversial mineral sharing deal.

Moscow has welcomed the radical American change in rhetoric and policy, which ended at an explosive Trump-Zelanceci Oval office meeting last month.
Kiev is trying to prove his readiness for peace, while emphasizing that any deal could not succeed without guaranteeing the replication of Russian aggression without a guarantee of American security. Ukrainian leaders have also doubted Russia’s clear readiness to end the fight and urged their American partners to be careful with the Kremlin.

After Tuesday’s talks, Zelancesi wrote on the telegram of the 30-day ceasefire scheme, “Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take the move. The United States needs to convince Russia to do so.”
“We agree, and if Russia agrees, silence will be effective at the same moment,” he said. “An important element in today’s discussions is America’s readiness to restore defense assistance for Ukraine and intelligence aid.”
“Ukraine is ready for peace,” Zelansky wrote. “Russia should also show if it is ready to end the war – or continue it. The time has come for the whole truth. I thank all those who help Ukraine.”
