Rubio says Ukraine has agreed to achieve peace deal

Ukraine carried forward a deal by the Trump administration during a meeting in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, a significant step ahead to achieve a ceasefire agreement and end the war with Russia.

“We will now take this proposal to the Russians, and we hope they will say yes,” State Secretary Marco Rubio told reporters.

Rubio, standing with the National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, did not expand the agreement at all, but according to a readout provided by the office of Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelansky, Kiev agreed to the 30-day ceasefire on the acceptance of Moscow’s terms.

Mark Kelly accused Trump of trying to ‘weaken Ukraine’, returning to Elon Musk, who does it to brand the ‘traitor’.

In response to Kiev’s desire to accept Washington’s initial proposal for a hard fight, President Donald Trump agreed to Staying on US security aid for “effectively” to “effectively” and renewed American intelligence sharing.

Rubio said that if Moscow once more agrees with this initial agreement, the real talks could begin.

Rubio said, “It is very serious. Today people will die in this war. He died tomorrow, and sadly, until there is a ceasefire tonight, they will die tomorrow,” Rubio said. “The President wants to stop.”

Issues related to the return of children kidnapped by Russia and the return of war prisoners will be addressed in the “second phase” of the talks, the pair said.

Waltz confirmed that the Trump administration and the Ukrainian delegation discussed the “original details” on the security guarantee to ensure permanent peace between the two countries – although neither Kiev nor Washington has yet confirmed elements of those discussions.
