Ralson Tyres, which had started its India business with cycle tyres has announced its entry into heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) tyres in the country. 

“This strategic expansion is a significant milestone for Ralson as the company transitions from being a leader in bicycle tyres to a formidable player in both the automotive and commercial tyre segments,” the company said in a statement. 

Having its manufacturing facility in Indore since 2023, the company said it would meet the rising demand for high-performance commercial tyres in in India. 

Its 60,000 MTPA-capacity plant, which is currently operating at full capacity, has already been catering to global markets, including North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. 

Now, the facility’s production capabilities will be fully dedicated to supplying premium commercial tyres to the Indian market, it said.

The Indian commercial tyre market is poised for growth, driven by factors such as increasing freight volumes, the development of expressways, economic growth, and a shift towards radial tyres. 

The market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10% in the coming years.

Manjul Pahwa, Managing Director, Ralson Tyres said, “Our global success in markets like North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East has provided us with valuable insights into the evolving needs of the trucking industry.”

“We will bring these high-performance tyres to India, ensuring that the local transportation sector benefits from superior quality, enhanced fuel efficiency, and durability,” he said.

The company said it would leverage on its network of 43 sales and service offices across India to provide support to customers.
