Recently, a documentary was released titled ‘The Roshans’ which encapsulated the cinematic journey of the different generations in the Roshan family. It started with legendary music composer Roshan Lal Nagrath whose name was later adapated as a surname by his sons Rakesh and Rajesh Roshan. Meanwhile, Hrithik also carried forward that surname. This documentary had featured many celebs who’ve worked witht the Roshans – right from Asha Bhosle, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta among others.
‘Karan Arjun‘ is one of the most memorable movies of Rakesh Roshan’s filmography and while Shah Rukh was a part of the documentary, Salman Khan was not seen. Rakesh Roshan has now revealed the reason for Salman’s absence. He indirectly hinted at the problems which Salman is currently going through, as a reason for him not being a part of it. The director said, “I did call him up but he was stuck in his own problems and that’s why he couldn’t make it.”
Without taking any names, he further added, “Salman really wanted to be a part of it and he would give us his dates but cancel it at the last moment. He has been going through the issues that we’re seeing going on these days. We all recognised that he wasn’t there. If he was there, he could’ve shared some more light on us and his experiences during Karan Arjun.”
Salman is currently shooting for ‘Sikandar’ with a very heavy security. Meanwhile, Rakesh Roshan also said that he can still re-unite Salman and SRK for a film, provided he has a script of that level. “If I’ve a good story with me where their tracks run parallel as it was in Karan Arjun, I can definitely bring them back,” he said.
‘Karan Arjun’ also starred Mamta Kulkarni and Kajol.
