Australian cricket team fast bowler Mitchell Starc highly praised the Indian cricket team after its impressive Champions Trophy 2025 Triumph. India defeated Australia in the semi -finals and went to win the title with a wide win over New Zealand. Stark, who missed the competition for personal reasons, called KL Rahul a “Mr. Fix-It for India” and praised how he had filled a lot of roles for his side. Rahul scored 140 runs in four innings, while batting at number 6 and also took wickets in all matches. He was present at the crease when India was titled and his gritty Dastak earned him pladits.
Stark said, “KL Rahul is like Mr. Fix -It – Since asked, he batted at number 6, laid, batted in the field, batted in middle order – he has worked about everything, he has played an important role, he is excited to play with him.”
KL Rahul is consistently performing despite his position in batting order, but given an option, stylish keeper-batter will be “most comfortable” occupying one of the top-order slots.
Rahul, who usually batted at number 5, was reduced to a position in the Champions Trophy, and scored 174 runs in five innings in Dubai. Rahul’s success was a reflection of his preparations for this new challenge and dedication which used to work on his game.
Rahul said, “I am playing in the top order. At the age of 11, from my first competitive match in Mangalore to my early days for India, and for most of my career, I have been a top -order batsman. This is the situation in which I am the most comfortable and what I seems to be the most natural for me,” said Rahul.
He said, “When you play a team sport, you don’t always get to choose what you want. You must be flexible and ready to be compatible with the needs of the team. For years, I have learned to hug it and give your best in whatever role I have played,” he added during a conversation with Geohotstar.
Rahul, who has led the Punjab Kings and Lucknow super veterans in the past, has allegedly rejected the opportunity to captain its new franchise Delhi Capital in the upcoming IPL.
