This may not be a NCAA tournament, but in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), there is a team in a large -scale blunder of the governing body.
South Alabama was informed by NCAA and Sun Belt Commissioner Keith Gill, who serves as the vice -chairman of the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, that he was bid at NIT late on Sunday night.
But exactly an hour after doing so, Head Coach Richie Riley told Al.com that the invitation was canceled, which broke the heart of his program.

“This is just inappropriate for our players,” the relay explained. “We have got a team with zero zero. They are a group of underdogs that fought from their ass. And now I have to tell them that they are not in NIT. It’s just a complete joke.”
For NCAA tournament brackets, teams such as West Virginia were made waste not to make it, but they were also on bubbles. To invite South Alabama is just a very bad pill to swallow a very bad tablet to burst it.

The relay expanded the situation to Al.com, saying that Gill and NCAA Basketball Senior Vice President Dan Gavit invited him with an invitation at 9:30 pm on Sunday as UC Roverside committed to the college basketball invitation.
However, this commitment came before extending the NIT invitation to UC Roverside. With UC Rivaraside, the NCAA to bring it back to withdraw South Alabama’s bid.
Riley said that he had already told his players that they would participate in NIT.

“I said, ‘This is 100%, we are right?” And he said, “Yes, congratulations I am happy that you were able to go inside,” the relay explained.
“… I tell them,” I am going to tell my friends. ” They are preferring, ‘Go ahead.’ Therefore, I tell the team. this is unacceptable.
The NIT issued an forgiveness statement for South Alabama, stating that they understand this “emotional effects”. The relay was not listening to either of that, however, calling the statement “meaningless forgiveness” on X.
“What he did to us last night is unforgivable!” The X post of the relay continued. “These people are not worth it in our locker room and it is sad that your idea of making it right is a copy and forgiveness is a paste!”
