Ketleen Clarke’s college milestone continues to move by Juju Watkins

USC female basketball star Juju Watkins crossed one of the largest milestones in Calin Clarke on Sunday night and took another step to overtake Clarke in college basketball record books.

In the Big 10 Championship game, UCLA in a loss of 72-67, Watkins scored 29 points to officially pursue Clarke’s mark for the points scored by a player in their first two sessions.

Clarke scored 1,662 points in its first two sessions, while Watkins now has 1,684. It keeps Watkins just behind Kelsey Mitchell by any player in his first two sessions, as Mitchell has a record with 1,762.

However, Watkins has a chance to cross Mitchell and gain even more land on Clarke, as he still has to play in this year’s NCAA tournament.

Watkins has a chance to break Clarke’s record for most points made by men or women in the history of NCAA. Clarke broke the mark with 3,951 in its historic senior season in 2023-24.

After Clarke started her WNBA career last year, Watkins replaced Clarke as the face of the Women’s College Basketball, and Kishore admitted that breaking Clarke’s record is something she puts behind her mind.

“Naturally, being at speed, it is always behind my mind,” Watkins had earlier told Fox News Digital in a special interview. “The goal is to continue production at this stage, and it is to do it efficiently as much as I can.”

Watkins may have the advantage of playing more games than Clarke in the college as the teenager looks to chase records.

Nevertheless, Watkins said that she only “desire”, she can play like Clarke, which is far from the 3-point shooter and away.

“I wish I would play like him,” said Watkins.

Watkins has got a chance to break Clarke’s record in front of a larger audience for women’s basketball compared to previous years, after Clarke’s transit effect on the game during his college career. Last year, the NCAA Women’s Championship Games got more viewers for the first time in history than men.

“Meditation was not always, so just to see the eyes on it and people respect the game more, and young girls are getting more in the game, this is a dream true,” Watkins said.

Watkins has embraced new fans that Clarke brought to the game, even the basketball figures of other major women condemned new fans for negative comments about players other than Clarke.

“So many new fans can sometimes be in the game, not necessarily challenging, but just can give you a headache in a way. Many people do not know what they are talking sometimes. But it is very good for the game. The fact that people are enough,” when the first Fox News Digital was asked about a special interview.

“We would like it to be positive, but it is not always going to happen, so until we continue to increase the numbers and the number of spectators increases, I think we can ask all this.”

Watkins said that she wants the fans to be happy for her. However, even if they “hate” him, he will still embrace the fact that they are paying attention. Asked if she wants the controversial new fans of the game happy for her, Watkins also replied, “Oh, yes. I love supporters and I love those who hate.

“I think it is just a part of the game. It has many sides. So it is the nature of the game and is always going to be a negative and positive aspect.”

As Watkins looks to break the scoring record of Clarke, she expects many new fans of women’s basketball, even who causes her “headache” and “don’t know what they are talking sometime,” will come to make her happy. But Watkins will also embrace these fans and meditation if they “hate” him.

“I love supporters and I love hate also.”
