Indian -origin drug Lord Lord was arrested by FBI in Ludhiana: Punjab Police


The Punjab Police said on Monday (March 10, 2025) that it has arrested an Indian-hero transnational drug Lord Lord, which is wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding the largest narcotics tour in Ludhiana.

Shehanj Singh, also known as Sean Bhinder, was working under the guise of a transport business in Canada since 2014 and allegedly provided drug agitation from Colombia to the US and Canada through Mexico, police said.

Following a rift by the FBI, Bhinder, a native of village Mandiala in Batala, who was residing in Brampton in Canada, managed to give a slip to the FBI Sleiths and landed in India as a clandestin, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that Punjab Police had successfully tracked them and arrested them.

He was wanted by the FBI in one of the largest drug seizures in the US on 26 February 2025, where the agency arrested six of its colleagues and seized 391 kg Mentalfetamine, 109 kg cocaine, four sophisticated weapons and vehicles from their possession.

Six arrested by the FBI were identified as Amritpal Singh alias Amrit alias Bal, Amritpal Singh alias Cheema, Takdar Singh alias Romi, Sarabjit Singh Sabi, Fernando Valladres Alias ​​Franau and Gurlal Singh.

The arrest was made amidst the ongoing “Yudh Nasian Veeradh” (war against war) campaign of the Punjab government, launched on 25 February.

The DGP said that Bhinder was also wanted in the case of a weapon act registered in December 2024. The Taran Taran police arrested five members of the infamous Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Amritpal Baath gang in the case, making a significant cash of arms and ammunition from their possession.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tarn Abhimanu Rana, along with Deputy Inspector General of Police (Ferozpur Range) Swapan Sharma, said that preliminary investigation shows that Bhinder played an important role in transporting large consumers of drugs on international borders using trucks and trailers.

He said that during interrogation, it was found that “accused Sean Bhinder was working under the guise of a legitimate transport business in Canada since 2014, allegedly convenient drugs from Colombia to the US and Canada through Mexico.”

He also stated that Bhinder was transporting about 600 kg of cocaine from Colombia every week with his comrades.

SSP Rana said that the accused’s network has relations with notorious drug trafficers, including Amritpal Singh alias Bath and Gurjant Singh Bholu Hawelia. He said that further investigation is going on.
