Virginia did not have any known Koronwirus cases at that time. Reporting more cases than the United States with Asia and Europe, the virus still seemed far away. New York City reported its first case before the super Tuesday coverage of Fox News.

With the possibility of more confirmed cases, state and local leaders began to cancel major events. In the southwest, the south was canceled in Austin, Texas. The Ultra Music Festival was postponed indefinitely in Miami. Trump was asked if local leaders were taking the right precautions.
“I think it’s okay if they want to do it. I don’t think it’s an overlapping, but I usually won’t be willing to do so. I wouldn’t really happen,” said Trump.
