Just when it seemed that Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama ‘Chhawa’ was ready to loosen his grip at the box office, the film’s day 29 proved to be otherwise. ‘Chaw’, director of Laxman YouTeker, saw some decline in business in its 4th week; However, with Holi, which marked its fifth Friday, the film gained speed back and showed an increase of more than 60 percent. According to the Sacnilk report, the film is almost Rs. 7.25 crores (Hindi: Rs 6.5 crore; Telugu: 0.75 crores) on its fifth Friday, a total of Rs 546.75 crore (Hindi: Rs. 534.45 crore; Telugu: Telugu: 12.55 crores).
Vicky Kaushal, Rashamika Mandanna, Vineet Kumar Singh, Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Rana and more, the film started very strongly. Some influential numbers were recorded in the early weekends and the first week. By the end of the week 1, the film was Rs.219.25 crores. The second week maintained the speed of Rs. 80.25 crore. However, the number started falling from 3 weeks and saw a big dip in the week 4. Nevertheless, the beginning of the fifth week promises a better collection, especially with weekends.

Inspired by the novel of this name, ‘Chhawa’ reflects the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Chav was the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, who continued the legacy of Swaraj established by his father. Although he was eventually caught by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, he could not reduce the spirit of the Maratha warrior.
