Andrew Kuoomo, the former governor who resigned amid the scam, is at the forefront of NYC Meror Shodown on Eric Adams

As he runs for the Mayor of New York City, Andrew Kuoomo is announcing a sleeve of public policy proposals.

The former three-Term Governor of New York, who resigned in 2021 among several scams, unveiled the second plank of his public safety agenda for the country’s most populous city on Monday.

“Is enough, and we need to pass wise laws,” Kuoomo insisted in a statement.

In a political withdrawal, it has been a week and a half since Cumo, announced his candidature in the race to get Mayor Eric Adams out.

The entry of the former governor’s contenders in the already crowded area shook the race with just four months to go to the city’s Democratic Mayorl Primary, which would probably determine the winner of the November general election.

As the new Yorkers continue to be sour on adams, according to the latest elections, the same surveys also indicate that Qoomo is a clear precursor. But now that the 2025 mayorl race is apparently to lose Quomo, his rival is becoming zero on the immense political belongings of the former governor.

Thanks to his near-survival name recognition among New Yorkers, Cumo was at the top of the mayorl pole before announcing his candidature on 1 March.

And Kuoomo, who enjoys the support of a well -funded super PAC supported by deep -pocket colleagues, maintained its forefront in the most recent survey from the University of Quinipiaq.

Cuomo launched Mayor bid in the largest city in America

The survey conducted by Cumo just before and just before starting its bid indicated the former governor on 31% support among the Democrats registered in New York City, Edams at 11% at each other.

Behind Adams, in single digits, the rest of the roster of Democrats was the rest with the aim of excluding the mayor.

The region includes State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, City Public Advocate Jumane Williams, former City Completeer Scott Stringer, Current City Competoler Brad Lander, City Council speaker Adrien Adams – who launched their bid after the release of the poll – as well as two state senators and a former state assembly.

The same survey indicated the approval rating of adams among the voters of New York City, which was just 20%, which was the lowest for the mayor of any New York City in the three decades of the Quinipiaq polling in the city.

Adams’s pole numbers were already drowning before inclusion in five cases last year, who accused the mayor of bribery and fraud as part of an alleged “long -running” scheme to individually benefit from contacts with foreign authorities.

The Mayor now repeatedly with the President Donald Trump, and in recent weeks went to dismiss the allegations of corruption, so he could work with the Trump administration on his illegal immigration orbit.

The top federal prosecutor in New York City resigned instead of compliance, and argued that the Mayor had agreed to a Quid Pro Quo with the Department of Justice.

Mary Snow, Assistant Director of Quinipiyak University Poll, told Fox News, “The story has only grown to the city of New York as it now includes the Trump administration, and all this is weighing when the mayor is standing among the voters.”

The 67-year-old Kuomo is a test manager, a tremendous executive aiming to re-present themselves for voters, and as a law-and-order moderate who is to save a city that he says “threatens, feels out of control and crisis.”

After the announcement Cuomo announced, in its first campaign program, avoided renovated projects of large -scale infrastructure in and around New York City, which he managed during his decade tenure as a governor, including Lagardia Airport, Mionihan Train Hall and Mario M. Kuoomo Bridge included, named after his father.

But in the mayorl race, a host of some of his rivals and critics has targeted Qomom as he launched his campaign, on many of his crimes as a governor.

Cuomo has spent fighting his name after 11 sexual harassment allegations in the last four years-which he has repeatedly denied-forced his resignation in 2021. He was also under investigation amidst the Kovid epidemic, allegations that his administration understood the Kovid-related deaths in the State Nursing Home.

A Sienna College Pol, held on 2-6 March, indicated a favorable rating of cumo among all the voters of New York State, which was 32% to 37% favorable and 51% unfavorable in March 2022, seven months after resigning as governors.

But in the new pole, the favorable rating of Cumo among the voters of New York City was above water, 48%-41%.

“We usually do not comment on elections, but it is noteworthy that in this survey, he is 48–41 among the voters of New York City and 57-29 among black voters,” a long-time cumo spokesperson and advisor Rich Azopardy told Fox News, “we do not generally comment, but in this survey.

Azzopardi argued that in Cuomo’s “every pole really ahead in every pole about the mayor’s race, because New Yorkers know that the city is in crisis and is a candidate with Andrew Kuoomo experience, record and ability to help save it.”

But with three and a half months to go to the primary of June 24, there is no late-up in attacks on Cumo from his rivals.

“The question is: (A) Candidates in the campaign, how big will Cumo’s goods make up, and (B) Will this strategy be resonant with voters?” Quinipiaq’s ice asked.
