Mason Rudolf and Skylar Thompson are only two quarterbacks under the contract with Pittsburgh Steelers.
While Justin Fields and Russell Wilson handled the initial quarterback duties of steeler at different times in the last season, it is not clear who will be subject to the center once after the regular season kick.
Fields agreed to a two -year contract with Jets earlier this week, while Wilson allegedly visited other teams. While the quarterback room of Pittsburgh has more questions than answers, the stored franchise enhanced its broad receiver core by adding DK Metkaf.
Steellers sent draft pics to Pittsburgh in exchange for Metkaf. ESPN reported that Star Wide Receiver later agreed to the expansion of $ 150 million for five years.

During his introductory news conference, Metcaf took a moment to praise the steelers to provide a warm reception.
“Coach (Mike) Tomlin, Mr. Umar (Khan) and Mr. (Art) all hoped with me on the phone on Sunday, and it just felt it at home, welcoming that they wanted to bring me to this historic organization,” said Metkaf. “Everything was just snatched from there and brought me here in front of you today.”

Metkaf, which ended with the yard that was the 992 in the previous season, also admitted that he does not control the team personnel. But he said that the discussion with Tomlin and other decision makers of Steellers made him feel confident about the quarterbacks that he would sign.

According to ESPN, “They made me feel so that they had the right decision as to who was about to throw me football.” “I am not taking a decision in the quarterback room. Therefore, I am just going to try to do the best of my abilities so that whatever they are throwing football to help them. They take the right decision to bring the quarterback here. So, I am just going to roll with it.”

Metcase, George Pickens and Calvin Austin III are the top wide receivers of steeler in the 2025 season. Metkaf wore Jersey number 14 during his six -year tenure in Seattle. Picense wears the same number, so Metcaf decided to switch to number 4.

“I mean, he is here, he is made a head in number 14,” Metkaf said in the context of Picance. “I am not trying to take away someone’s legacy, just trying to help me build me.”
Steellers finished the regular season of 2024 with 10–7 records and finished with Postsen in the wild-card round.
