Dr. Mehmat Oz was slammed by his opponents on a Capital Hill on a Capital Hill on Friday to promote unproven alternative health remedies, and a Democrat called it “the most attractive welfare crypting”, which he ever saw.

Sen Maggi Hasan, DNH, demanded oz to accept that to promote some supplements for weight loss, such as a green coffee extract, fraud. While Oz admitted that the extract of green coffee is not a miraculous weight loss medicine, he argued that he never propagated it in this way.

But Oz claims that he was not being paid to promote products, he did not refuse Hassan, who chronic the “Dr. Oz Effect”, stating the press reports, an incident by which he supported the sale of products, which would touch the sky after being shown in his show.

One of the companies is Ihrab, an online complement retailer, which represents one of the biggest financial holdings of oz. According to their morality filing, the holdings of oz in Iharb are similar to $ 25 million.

As the Administrator of CMS, the OZ decides how the government covers procedures, hospitals within the federal healthcare programs, as well as the healthcare providers at the reimbursement rates for their services. Oz, if confirmed, can take action to achieve federal healthcare programs such as Medicid and Medicare, a large number of supplements have not already been covered to cover the supplement.

A committee voted to decide whether to send oz to the entire Senate, not yet determined. It will need to confirm at least 50 votes in the full Senate.
