In the timeout after the 3-pointer of Curry, Warriers played a video message from Andris Bidrins, a former Warriors Center, which assisted the first career 3-pointer of Curry.

Curry said, “When I saw (Bidrins) I didn’t tell me this, I would call it an emotional moment on the bench.

“I would like to take my team to the bench and see if someone knew who he was, because he was long ago. In fact it is good to think about how far I have come from one to four thousand, which is crazy.”

Curry said that he could understand the energy in the building in anticipation of looking at history.

Curry said, “I could have felt energy and discussion from the beginning of the game after making my first three, even the second one I shot and missed, it was an adrenaline crowd, and he was with me every moment of the game tonight,” said Curry.

“When he went into the second one, I knew that a lot of game was left, so I tried not to move forward. But it was a special moment to feel that energy and allowed them to enjoy that milestone and achievement with me.”

The two-time MVP had 11 points and five assist, who were going 2–6 from the 3-point range in victory, while Driven Green scored a season-final 23 points to lead the team.

Curry crossed the then record of Ray Allen’s 2,973 3-pointers made in 2021 and became the 26th player in NBA history to score 25,000 marks in Warriors’ victory on Detroit Piston last Saturday.

Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr was asked what he could expect beyond the curry.

“Eight thousand,” he joked.
