Bumrah Shocker, Jasprior for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, Miss due to the ‘stress-related injury’ star set …

Fast-Bauling Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is set to remember the five-time champions Mumbai Indians to remember the initial IPL 2025 matches, as due to the recovery of back injury since the Sydney Test in January. Bumrah is recovering from a stress-related injury to his lower back, which he suffered during two days of the final border-gavaskar trophy test in Sydney and did not bowl in the second innings as Australia won the series 3–1.

Bumrah, who took the Player of the Series Award in Australia for his 32 scals, was later excluded from India’s Champions Trophy winning campaign after being nominated at the Provisional Squad. So far, Bumrah, who underwent a back surgery in 2023, is undergoing its rehabilitation process at the BCCI Center of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru.

According to a report at Espncricinfo on Friday, Bumrah is expected to join the Mi team in early April, which is subject to clearance from the medical team in BCCI Coe. At the same time, the report states, “It cannot be confirmed how many matches Bumrah would remember and if there was a fixed date for return.”

The first two IPL 2025 of MI will be played away from home – against Chennai against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chennai on 23 March, before traveling to Aamnemad against Gujarat Titans (GT) on 29 March.

MI’s first domestic match at Wankhed Stadium will be against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 31 March, will return home to host Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 4 before visiting Lucknow to face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and then on 7 April.

Other fast-bouling options of MI include Trent Bault, Deepak Char, Rece Topley, Corbin Bosch, Arjun Tendulkar, Satyanarayana Raju, Ashwani Kumar, as well as all-rounders-captain Hardik Pandya and Raj Angad Bawa.
