Did India really have an advantage to play all its games in Dubai during the ICC Champions Trophy? Opinion on the subject is divided, with various schools of ideas fighting against each other. Although there is no denying that India’s campaign was the easiest from the logical point of view, Dubai was still not the team’s home ground, offering challenges that Rohit Sharma’s people were not used. Sharing his opinion on the subject, Paer Michel Starc of Australia, who was not part of his team’s Champions Trophy squad, feels that India got a clear benefit of playing all its games (Dubai). “But, there is much more than meeting the eye.

Stark refused to take one advantage of the ‘Dubai Status’ for the Indian team, stating that other cricketers are prevalent to play franchise leagues worldwide, but this is not the case with Indian players.

“I am not sure that this is an advantage from a per as cricketers have all the opportunities to play all the franchisees in the world, but Indian people can only play in the IPL. So, I don’t think you can sit on it because you have found people who play in five to six different franchisees in a year, even they are receiving exposure for white-ball cricket.

On Team India’s Champions Trophy Triumph, Stark said he was not surprised, Varun Chakraborty saw the closed quarters, when the two shared the Kolkata Knight Riders dressing room in the Indian Premier League last year.

“It’s not wonder India has won. I will be honest here, I haven’t seen a single ball. I am not sure I have seen a lot about the Champions Trophy. Just pieces and pieces of Australian Games.
