Jean Hackman and Betasi Arkawa’s property is trying to block photos, videos and release of bodycam footage related to the couples’ deaths.
Advocate Kurt Somer filed a petition in the state district court on Tuesday in an attempt to prevent the medical investigator and Santa Fay County Sheriff Office from issuing footage.
The petition attempts to block the couple’s body examination and the release of “death investigation”, as long as their death cannot be reduced, according to the outlet.
Somar has written that once images are released “cannot be a bell.”
