Bangalore -based Startup Simple Energy launched its latest electric scooter, which was dubbed in India on Wednesday. This includes the existing options in the company’s EV lineup which includes simple one and a General 1.5. The new electric scooter operates with an 8.5 kw peak power output by a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), which inspires it from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour (kmph) in just 2.55 seconds. According to the company, it claims an Indian Drive Cycle (IDC) a limit to 181 km from one charge.
Simple values in India
Price of simple value in India is Rs. 1,39,999 (East-Shorroom). Electric vehicle (EV) comes with a single, fixed battery pack option. It is introduced in four colors – Brezen Black, Azure Blue, Grace White and Namma Red.
Pre-orders for scooters have already started and electric scooters will be made available to all of the 15 showrooms of simple energy in India, located in Bangalore, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vijag, Kochi and Mangalore.
Simple specification
A simple -based PMSM operates with 8.5 kW output and torque of 72 Nm, as well as 3.7kwh battery pack, both help it to claim a top speed of 105 kmph and an IDC of 180 km. The company says it has a time of 0 to 40 kmph of 2.55 seconds, which shaving a few milliseconds from the acceleration time of 2.77-second of a general 1.5.
The electric scooter is equipped with a joint braking system (CBS) that allows the rider to apply both front and rear brakes together using single lever. Courtesy, Simple Energy says that its new electric scooter has a distance of 27 meters.
It gets a 7-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation support. In addition, the simple os available on both Android and iOS enables features such as the Companion app, remote access, over-the-air (OTA) update, ride statistics, root saving, remote alert and simple tag.
