The Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is ordering to review the standards of military fitness and grooming as the Trump administration has continued to reverse the policies, saying that the US fight forces have shown weak on the global stage.
In a memorandum on Wednesday for the Senior Pentagon Leadership, Hegseth ordered to gather existing standards in all American military branches related to Darin Celicic, Defense Secretary, Physical Fitness, Body Creation and Correspondence, including rules on beard.
Hegseth said in a statement, “We should be cautious in maintaining standards that enable men and women of our army to protect American people and our motherland as the world’s most deadly and effective fighting force.” “Our opponents are not growing weak, and our actions are no less challenging.”

Leaders will see how those standards have been replaced since January 1, 2015, and they provide information about how they have developed and the impact of those changes.
Hegseth has vowed to bring back the difficult standards, reversing the “Vok” policies, which do not align with the warrior ethos, reconstruct the military and reconstruct the preventive.

“Our standard will be high, unrelated and clear,” he said in the memo on 25 January for service members. “The strength of our army is our unity and our shared objective.”
