Pakistan Train Hijac: More than 150 hostages were rescued by security forces from the passenger train kidnapped by Baloch rebels in a tunnel in Balochistan province of Pakistan. Free hostages described their experience as “terrible”.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the siege.

A survivor, known as Muhammad Bilal, said that the train migration was beyond the words.

“We walked through the mountains for a long time to reach the nearest station. I have not eaten since I started fasting this morning, but I still cannot bring myself to eat, “he said.

Checked ID

To verify the identity of those from outside the province of Balochistan, BLA gunmen checked the ID card.

One passenger told AFP: “They checked the ID and service card and shot two soldiers in front of me and took the other four, I do not know where. He investigated the ID and was taken by the terrorists who were Punjabis. ,

Rescue operation is going on

Pakistan’s security sources said on Wednesday that they had freed 155 hostages from about 450 passengers, while 27 terrorists were killed.

According to an AFP report quoting the security source, “security forces have safely rescued 155 passengers … 27 terrorists have been abolished.”

The operation was still “running”, it was added.

A security officer in the area told AFP, “Information shows that some terrorists have fled, taking out the unknown number of hostages in local mountainous areas.”

The rebels bombed a part of the railway track and a storm in the train in the South -West Balochistan province on Tuesday afternoon, which is on the borders of Iran and Afghanistan, where the attacks by separatists have increased rapidly in the last one year.

The AFP report states that 80 of the released passengers were taken to Quetta under “tight security”.
