A new study is suggesting which cities in the US are considered the “happiest”, and the top and down spots can surprise you.
Wallethub released its 2025 report after conducting research in 180 major cities. The cities where rank were ranked were based on 29 major matrix, which ranged from depression to income-growth rate and factoring in the average holiday time spent per day.
A Valathab analyst Chip Lupo said that salary has an impact on happiness.

“Research suggests that having more money only increases your happiness until you are not at least $ 75,000 per year – whatever you acquire will not affect,” Lupo said.

“Therefore, when deciding where to live to maximize your happiness, you would like to choose a city that provides just a decent average income,” he said.
Lupo says, “The ideal city provides a situation that promotes good mental and physical health, such as appropriate work hours, low traffic, good weather and care neighbors.”

According to Valethb’s report, San Jose, California finished second with the longest average life expectancy in the country.
