The controversy was instigated in January 2025, when Ranveer Allahabadia, known as bearbiseps, made unfair remarks on Raina’s show, India’s Got Latant. His highly aggressive question for a young contestant expressed widespread resentment, many people called it vulgar and unacceptable.
After the backlash, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I & B) and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) intervened, inspired to remove the episode from YouTube. Later, legal complaints were filed against Ranveer Allahabadia, Samay Raina, and other panelists, including Ashish Chanchalani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Mukhija.
In a recent judgment, the Supreme Court allowed Ranveer Allahabadia to continue his podcast, The Ranveer show, despite the ongoing legal proceedings.
