New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon is ready for a 5-day visit to India; Check the schedule here


New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will reach India on 16 March. During his five -day visit to India, the 42nd Prime Minister will focus on some central issues related to trade and investment cooperation. It will mark Christopher Luxon’s first visit to India as Prime Minister.

To shore bilateral cooperation, he is scheduled to interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Before leaving the country on 2 March, Christopher Luxon will follow the inaugural session of the 10th Raisina Dialogue as the chief guest at New Delhi on 17 March and will offer more chief address as the chief guest as per the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea).

The New Zealand PM will be with a high -level delegation, including ministers, senior officials, media and members of the Indian migrant community.

Luxon will visit Mumbai from 19 to 20 March before returning to Wellington.

“During his visit, Prime Minister Lakson will hold talks with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on March 17, covering various aspects of India-New Zealand relations,” Mea said.

Prime Minister Modi will host lunch in honor of visiting dignitra. Luxon will also call President Drupadi Murmu.

The visit to Luxon underlines long and lasting relations between India and New Zealand, said.

“This confirms the continuous commitment of the two countries to further strengthen bilateral relations in all regions and to deepen the relations of people close to us.

In particular, Christopher Mark Luxon is a former professional executive, who became the Prime Minister of New Zealand in 2023. He served as the Leader of the Opposition from 2021 to 2023 and was the leader of the National Party. In addition, he is a member of Parliament (MP) for Botany since 2020 and has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air New Zealand from 2012 to 2019.
